On the plane, Clarkson yelled to the pilot. "If it gets any hotter in here, I WILL open a window!" which makes me laugh every time.

That's what old top gear is for (and fifth gear to an extent). The iteration with clarkson, hammond, and may was just about having fun - not necessarily even involving cars...and that's why such a wide variety of people loved it

They're looking for a new Dr Who, aren't they? There's your man, right there.

There were also a lot of complains about not featuring enough green cars on Top Gear. So here's one - pointing at a grass-green Murciellago.

In defence of the expensive car thing. You have to understand why Top Gear was taken off TV, it was boring. Clarkson changed the format, he made it entertaining. The BBC was set up to inform, educate and entertain, Top Gear was all 3 of those things. My own Grandmother, who couldn't tell the difference between a Gear Stick and Seat Belt, she was a huge fan of Top Gear, she had never driven a car in her life, but loved Top Gear.

I saw Clarkson's face magnified with cut-off text on the right and nearly had a heart attack thinking this was a memorial post
