That or a trash truck in the middle of compacting the trash. How many of us wouldn’t stop to see such a powerful display of human engineering?

I work in a neighborhood where there’s a bunch of rich old boys. They come say hi to me and my guys almost every day, and it’s honestly some of the most wholesome conversations I’ve had.

I do construction indoors. Nobody can walk by and steal my happiness! I'm keeping it all for myself.

I work construction, and i love looking at construction jobs. It is a sight of a civilization thriving and progress happening in real time.

I can relate. Between the ages of eight and thirteen, the neighborhood my family lived in had new homes being built in the subdivision as it was expanding. My mother, my sister, and I would spend many evenings and weekends riding our bicycles to the curb right outside each structure and occasionally walk into the unfinished house, sometimes even going upstairs depending on how far along construction was then. The place would be entirely unstaffed and absent of construction workers, contractors, or heavy equipment beyond a large bin used for waste storage and meant to be put on the back of a trailer, with “REEVES” printed in large letters on either side. There seem to be frequent hiatuses in home construction. My mother was never concerned about any legality, suggesting that it is a longstanding and common practice among regular citizens, and the main thing she was worried about was that we were wearing closed-toe shoes to prevent puncture wounds and possible disease. Overall it was fun.

To the mechanically inclined, one cannot avert their eyes from the sounds of operating hydraulic pumps, a screaming V8 engine, or turbos spooling at 25k rpms. There are just too many forces at play to not be interested.

Honestly when I see contruction work I think more of traffic jams and noise pollution, that's not really a guy thing?
