It's called "masking" , and it's EXTREMELY common in Autistic people. Some were forced to do it from a young age, others learn to do it from all the trauma & discrimination brought onto them. They suppress their traits and fake being happy to be more accepted in our ableist society. They don't favor people like us and I hate that it's like that. They need to help us, not ignore us and leave us in the dust, because not helping sometime can be the same thing as hurting them. I'm in terrible mental pain at the moment and pity our society for not truly helping us, they oughta admit that they wanna get rid of us. We seem to be "least priority" in their eyes. I despise that idea and the fact that there's not much we're able to do about it with every fiber of my being. I'm sorry. Life's been hard recently....

People don't fake depression.
They fake being okay. Remember that.
And be kind.
