Hello to all of you eagerly awaiting – or rather salivating – the continuation of our WATCHMEN project,

I haven’t been writing to you much – and for that I apologize – but rest assured that everything is going according to plan with the project.
Over the past year, we’ve been preparing this rascal with over fifty new castings, a completely original score composed specifically for the project, and have reviewed and honed over a thousand comic book panels. All in our spare time ...

For me personally, and for many involved – it will be a triumph of community, shared talent and perseverance to see this project through to its proper conclusion.
I was a young man, in my early twenties when I directed and put together the first half of the project, and now I’m on the cusp of my thirties. I was a different person when I did the first half – some might say inexperienced – but when I'll begin molding the second half I feel like I have a lot more to offer creatively. But enough of that sentimental bogus ...

I don't like to give out release dates - in case I can't keep my word, so I won't give it to you yet - but it's coming out when it's done, and not before.
Mr. Moore once said that the creative space - or rather the writing itself - should be treated like a god, where nothing but your absolute best is good enough. We're going to take that statement to heart and not let this project go until we've reached that hill - or rather feel like it's just beyond our reach.
Surely we're going to drive ourselves mad, and WATCHMEN deserves to claim our sanity ...

Our only hope and ultimate goal with this entire passion project is to prove to whoever is in charge of these properties that you can do so much with so little.
When you have an authentic vision for something and surround yourself with other talented people – even if we may not even live in the same country as each other – who give their all to said vision, something truly magical can happen. Community and creating a healthy work environment is what counts.
But most importantly – we want to prove to whoever is in charge of these properties that time and care are essential to staying true to the original intentions of the stories, and why cuts and streamlining can sometimes cloud the entire enterprise to begin with.
True character and emotion are built within the smaller moments – and cutting too much might cripple that crucial development.

Sincerely
Director and His Gang of Rebels
