Christ Titus did a video on this recently. They found another workaround for the current Bypass, which is actually easier than before lol. Not that there should need to be a workaround in the first place.

Dropping support for Windows 10 will be the pain point that pushes me to Linux full time. Only thing holding me here is gaming and soon if a game doesn’t work in Linux I won’t play it.

I don't mind having a Microsoft account on my own setup, but it makes life harder for me when I set up computers for other people.

I’m on the fence about switching on all of my computers. Recently downloaded Linux mint on my parent’s laptop while upgrading the storage and everything they used on Windows can be done on Linux with some small tweaks.

Here’s my problem with Linux. Anti cheats and my 3090. I have games that use anticheat that I like playing and I use my 3090 a lot for stuff like blender, but Linux drivers seem to be basically nonexistent. I’m seeing a solution is to just use a virtual machine but I’m worried about how that would impact performance for my stuff. These are the only things stopping me from switching to Linux mint right this second and I have nobody to tell me if there are any ways to truly fix these.

Why hasn’t the driver situation with Linux been worked out? There is no serious manufacturer willing to sell OS free devices with appropriate drivers that just work? I’m sure android devices are more complex

We disavow Windows after 10 over here and will await China to lead the way from here 😁

i feel like idc because they only banned one specific user made script, you can still use A LOT of methods and others scripts or pre installation things / self made custom os to bypass microsoft accounts, you can also just open cmd when you're in the windows customization menu after installing windows

It’s msft’s product. They can do whatever it is they want with it. We live in a capitalistic society, if it’s bad enough consumers will stop using it and move to something else. Until then, capitalism says it okay.

It’s easy to bypass, just use a real OS instead of Windows. 🙄

im a linux user since 2005, but as a sysadmin i have to deal with this utter crap daily. there's an easier way to bypass the fucked up Microsoft account: shift + F10 and then, start ms-cxh:localonly . this command will do the trick. kudos to @ChrisTitusTech.

Microsoft is making it slightly harder to bypass the Windows 11 account requirement. Bleeping Computer dove more into it. How do we feel?
