Is your room usually tidy, or a mess?

@silverfox3195

As an INTJ who spends way too much time organizing and tidying up, my room is always a mess

INFJ here and my answer was lived in. Clean enough to be healthy and dirty enough to be happy

An an INFP growing up with 2 ISTJ parents my room was nice and tidy. I moved out for college at 19 and it has been downhill since then. Now, 30 years and mental illnesses later, I am not far from qualifying to appear on Hoarders.... 😯

Half the time it's tidy, half the time it's a disaster zone. My ADHD brain can't achieve consistency.

INFJ here, I made it my habit to clean my room at least once every 2 weeks, mostly on Sundays as it's usually my day off. I like to keep things organized. As a kid I'd organize everything, I'd keep my school books in alphabetical order, pencil case was kept neat, art supplies too, just about everything. I was that kid in class with neatly labeled things and as someone who had almost anything you'd need. Forgot a charger or pencil? I got it, no problem.

It depends on who you ask. I’d say it’s quite structured, I know where everything is all the time. My mom goes crazy over it though

ISTP here, i chose a little lived in. because i always find it hard to clean as my room is so small but i can never get it messy because i just dont let my room get to that point without clesning it

My very INTJ oriented room is organised, not tidy. There is a very fine distinction between these two terms that people seem to use interchangeably, which is wrong. Stuff is where it needs to be so I can find and use items with the least amount of effort possible. Organisation maximises efficiency, tidiness can hinder it. Not many people will understand this concept, and that’s ok, because they’re not INTJ.

INFJ here I had to ask myself what do they mean by tidy? Then I thought for a moment and realized that it didn’t mean perfect all the time. Yes. Tidy it is.

INFJ with INFP sister roommate, she's definitely worse, sleeping on her clean clothes pile 😅 I like to organize my mess and I know where everything is but lately been cleaning and keeping up the habit because I find it make me more productive in a clean, less friction environment

@theeRexyyyy

From an INFP's perspective, we already carry a lot of emotions and when our rooms a mess, it amps up the emotions XD
