Lando nearly did it!! 🄵
With one or two more laps, could he have pulled it off? šŸ

@mmoskala

I can say Verstappen would have a good saying for this 'if' scenario ;)

Honestly I think the gap to red bull wil close up and I believe Lando is going to be the one that can challenge Max

It's one thing to catch. It's another to pass.

@LS-Moto

Don't think he would have gotten him even with a lap or two more. Imola is pretty hard to overtake on, and Lando wasn't catching Max as fast as he would have needed.

As a Norris fan, I believe he wouldn't have won even with 2 more laps. Red Bull had better straight line speed, Imola is a tough track to overtake on, and Norris had older tyres. DRS would've got him closer to Max, but not enough to get past. Only way Lando would win is if Max made a mistake.

ĪĪæ. If the race was 2 laps longer the strategy would have been adapted to that as well. So it's just a moot argument. The race is 300km plus 1lap. That's it.

@rocketdude111

Redbull gonna pull out all the upgrades they had stalling waiting for everyone to catch up and continue to dominate

Can get close but to pass Max is another 😁

@cjwright1960

Lando will win if he gets ahead on strategy, catching Max is one thing, passing him is eternally more difficult.

@soundscape26

I don't think so... passing would prove extremely difficult.

With an additional 1-2 laps, yes, I think Lando could've beaten Max for P1

I think Lando could be WC once Max's dominance ends.

@gamehuis

He would have needed at least 2 more laps. 1 Extra lap would not have been enough since he was 0.7s behind Max when crossing the finish line. DRS was worth 0.4-0.5s on the straight. Maybe he would have had a chance the next lap, but like the saying goes "Catching is one thing, overtaking is something else."

@themok3rify

Imola is hard to overtake at, pace difference wasn’t big enough for Lando to make an easy overtake. Sooo yeah nah, Max would’ve put his elbows out, and still win.

@3ne2nr4life

He would've never caught up to Max!!! Stop it already..

Getting close is one thing but......

I’m not liking Oscar’s constant shit luck. He was a candidate for the win on pace, both here and in Miami. And somehow it’s always either Kevin or Carlos or Lewis that manage to wreck his race… I think Ferrari pulled a blinder with the pit stop bluff to get the tyre advantage on him in stint 2, so big kudos there. šŸ‘šŸ» As long as his misfortune isn’t an actual curse, I’m sure Oscar’s first (Grand Prix) win is coming before the summer. šŸ¤˜šŸ¼ Massive kudos to Max and Lando both for a pulse raiser of a climax. 🤯 I think Oscar might have the momentum to eclipse Lando still, but the cheeky monkey is definitely rising to the challenge. šŸ˜„ Are Saturdays starting to lean Piastri’s way t
