Not Yelp, but I read through a lot of the Google Reviews first. Mostly when I'm traveling I don't stop anywhere that has less than 4 stars.

Yelp? Really? After all the stories about Yelp's scummy behaviour, and reading about family restaurants being decimated by troll-farm bs, I would never trust Yelp's advice on anything.

I usually like checking pictures that have been posted, of the food, menu, etc. I'll read the reviews but they're not like...the biggest deciding factor?? plus I know Yelp is hella scummy towards businesses.

Well, I don’t use the reviews, but I like to look at the menu before I go so that I can be indecisive before I get there. Coincidentally this is also why I like ordering off apps, because I can go back and forth between all the options for as long as I need.

Used to read the reviews but after having bad meals, I don’t read reviews, too many people and too many conflicting tastes

Yelp for local places. I follow certain Yelp Elites that I trust. For international I use TripAdvisor. Photos of the food help me decide as well.

I don’t trust reviews, especially not from yelp. They are usually far fetched.

I go by the pics more than the reviews, but I ALWAYS check yelp before trying a new spot.

I didn’t even know people still used yelp. I was on yelp everyday looking at wheee to go but that was a full decade ago 😂 I prefer Google map

I don’t go off the reviews because I like to give the restaurant a chance. Have had really amazing food from places with terrible reviews. But I will use Yelp for their pictures to decide what I want to eat.

Do you check Yelp reviews before going to a restaurant?
