ShopSmith Tools is ceasing operations and looking for a buyer and there is a real possibility that they will go out of business for good (https://youtu.be/TP_jXlCI7cA). How do you feel about it?

There may be a couple interested buyers the last I heard. From some of the rumors of the debt load I'm not sure anyone would be able to come up with the funds unless they have deep pockets. I agree aon the failure to innovate. In addition they didn't do demonstrations at any kind of shows, closed their stores, academies and didn't do their 3 day training events. Those are the things that put it in front of people, gave them hands on training. You can't sell a product by word of mouth very well, especially a power tool. You have to create interest and desire by showing what it can do. That's what sold me on getting one, then I bought more new attachments as I could afford them.

Its happening to many small businesses but ShopSmith failed to innovate and remain competitive as market conditions changed. But I understand someone called ShopSmith Repair is going to try to buy company.

I have owned at least 6 Shopsmiths over the last 25 years. Currently I have two. I would love to have the Power Pro headstock, but $3K is too much. Plus they have had repair issues. I call the ShopSmith the Leatherman tool for the woodworker. It does a lot of things well, but few things great. The space savings is a plus, and there is a a good supply of accessories available on eBay. Parts will eventually become scarce, and make them less attractive to a prospective owner. I hope they make it, but I don't see long term success.
