Sounds cool! You could take inspiration from your favorite parts of three cricket or prominent features for a full face ok, like one of the cool butterfly looks I've seen you do. Like what stands out to me is: the earth tone color palette, the linear/angularness of the legs, the contrast of the black eyes, antennas could translate as some kind of whispyness. I'm excited to see what you decide on!

You should do it like practical makeup effect for a movie!!!!! Some silicone, adhesive, fluffy stuff (nose and forehead) then brown and tan makeups!
