Yall are allowed to have free speech, by all means. That's a lawful and constitutional thing. But does a company need to pay you for that on tv? No. He can still say what he wants. Just not at the expense of whoever is paying him, because they dont want to pay for that. Its a really simple concept. Im sure there are other media outlets who might be willing to endorse him. Just so happens the current one doesn't want to. He's not being criminaly charged with anything. If im hosting an event and paying someone to speak, and they somthing i dont like, im in my right to fire them or let them go, and in the process i am not violating your speach in any way. #BREAKING: The US ABC network has pulled Jimmy Kimmel Live! from the air indefinitely following MAGA backlash relating to comments Kimmel made about Charlie Kirk's alleged assassin.
Kimmel, on Monday night's episode, pointed out that MAGA and Republican political figures were overtly using the shooting death of conservative agitator Kirk to score political points, and the associated narrative jockeying that seeks to position the accused shooter as a left-wing radical.
"We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang trying to characterise this kid who killed Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them," Kimmel stated.
In response to that, Nexstar Media - who owns dozens of ABC-affiliated TV stations across the United States - announced it would pre-empt future airings of Jimmy Kimmel Live!. The ABC network quickly followed by confirming the show would be pulled from the air indefinitely.
ABC's national broadcast license was directly threatened by Federal Communications Commission Brendan Carr, himself a close Trump ally and key figure in the authoritarian Project 2025 movement.
