ultimate Tony was able to outsmart The Maker (after Tony got an infinity gem extracted from his brain but still), so I think he’s the best option And if base Iron Man can’t beat a villain he’ll surely make a new suit or gadget that can

Going for Wasp. She actually took down Hulk. Don’t believe me? She went through his ears, blasted his brain and that had him take a big fall and revert him back. Not to mention she was a leader of the Ultimates during 3.

Iron Man was standing his ground against the freaking Hulk pretty well in The Ultimates #5, despite the suit malfunctioning even before taking off from the Triskelion. When the suit's working fine, he's one of the stronger members of the team; he's also not insufferable like Cap :P
