Same thing happened to my cousin. He was in his late 20s. He had high blood pressure and ended up on dialysis, but he still needed to haul to feed his family. He was found deceased, in his rig, at a truck stop. A truckers life is a hard one...looking from the outside in.

I worked for Walmart back in the mid 90s and it was Thanksgiving weekend. A Swift truck parked in our back lot Wednesday night. No big deal, back then usually on holiday weekends trucks would park there all the time. Fast forward to Monday night the truck is still there. My supervisor knocked on the door and no answer. I don't know about now, but back then on the sleeper was a phone number to call if the equipment hasn't moved. We called it, Swift call the police for a welfare check and unfortunately he was passed away in the sleeper bunk. Dude was in there since Wednesday night, went to sleep and never woke up. Fire department didn't give a official answer but they suspected it was a heart attack...

It was the longest hauls that put food on the table and clothes on my back as a child of a truck driver in the 70's and 80's ...much respect to all drivers! RIP beloved 😇. Thank you, Daddy! ✨🙏

My biggest problem is not getting out of the truck and walking, 30 mins can be a big saver. I had to readjust my normal because trucking will change you good or bad. May this young man rest in peace.

I knew one guy and his friend passed away. They both drove trucks. He would tell me how the truck drivers would always eat fast food on the road constantly. Rip to the guy who lost his life.

This is very common. Many men die alone in their trucks over the road. If it's a medical emergency there's no one there to help, you are alone. That's the sad part, to know u dying and it's a truck stop full of people and nobody comes to your aid cause they don't know something's wrong. Needs to be some type of SOS system in these trucks a flashing light something they can press for help. I'm just saying safety protocols need to be put in place. They regulate driving time for safety purposes, so I'm sure u can add something for driver's safety as well the driver should be protected also and not just protecting liability

Introvert Rockstar, 🙏 please cover the Uoma founder that was recently unalived, Sharon Chuter, she was only 38, Nigerian and built a company worth over 50 mil... she was the first African to get a successful partnership with covergirll to distribute their products in Nigeria, after her business partner/ funder illegally sold her company from underneath her nose while she was trying to fight and recover from what's believed to be a poisoning attempt, she sued them to regain what she started and built and was in court at the time of her passing on Aug. 14, 2025

I as a woman was a truck driver OVR for a short span of time but drove trucks for many years. The job is stressful, not only driving for yourself but everyone you come in contact with. As a driver I came in contact with people who were forever changed by this industry. I often wonder if there’s a special place that truckers go in the afterlife. It takes a special kind of person to do the job!! Rest easy…

I am so sorry for his families loss because I’m sure he was truly providing for them. This career will take you out if you’re not careful. My husband had a heart attack in March this year and by the grace of God something writhing his artery allowed him to make it to the VA hospital 3 days later. They transferred him to a heart hospital and he was there for a few days. I was so terrified and trying to get him to go anywhere to be seen because he had all the symptoms. He wanted to be as close to home as he could so we would be able to get there.

Being a driver takes a lot of your body . I had to make sure I had time to make my blood circulate. I drank a lot of lemon water and ate fruits. I didn't develope any of these things. Remember you first before you make anyone rich.

R.I.P. to him. 🙏 Truckers, including my brother, are in my prayers. Stay safe, don't eat too much junk food, walk when you can, listen to some good music to ease the stress

Pit stops to stretch, hydration, and daily aspirin can make the biggest difference!

Dang I'm 37 as well and used to truck drive 2018-19 and from that year I can tell you its lonely over the road and the only ones keeping in contact with you are your dispatchers. Someone could be unalived at a truckstop for weeks before anyone noticed

I remember one time I spent all day driving in my car and my feet were swollen from being in it so long. That is really hard on the body, you have to move around as much as possible.

To all my truck drivers, take care of your health first. I drove trucks over the road for ten years, I know how it can get. But please take care of yourself!! Rest in peace to this young driver 🙏🏾
