No one is asking the real questions, how did this happen, Modi said Kashmir is getting back to normal and then this happens, it's enough to say a lot of things are being said by Modi just for PR campaign and not for real results. I am already seeing international media reporting this on how Kashmir was never in normal state after 2019, how revoking that independent status has just made things worse.

The key word is ‘suspended’ not ‘denounced’ or ‘withdraw’. Suspension of the treaty will have no immediate impact on Pakistan given that for India to take advantage of any of its move like say ‘ignore Pakistan objection for Indias projects on Western rivers’ for such projects will take years to materialise and start showing effect on downstream parties. India also has to keep in mind that any step it takes wrt IWT will have a bearing and impact on Brahmaputra as well where it is downstream and China has been building dams to control its water flow. It will prduent for Govt to think through before it acts.

How many bombs it'll take to destroy a dam. A starving country with capability to end water blockade is a scary thought

In 1971 war when India had advanced till the outskirts of Lahore, Army and Govt decided to stop in its track and open negotiations with Pakistan which ultimately led to Shimla agreement. Why? Because strategic objectives set by India at the onset of war was achieved. What were they? 1. Creation of Bangladesh and halting Pakistan agression on Indias western front. 2. Forcing Pakistan to accept the loss of its Eastern potion and make them realise that they are a disadvanatge given Lahore is threatened. 3. In fact in East, India even did not intervene directly but helped Mukti bahini fight their own war with air support by IAF. 4. Along with in Armys assessment it will be counter productive to advance further in Lahore for it will be then viewed as invaision than a defensive offensive action which ‘71 war was for India. This was all achieved in a course of days for there was month of preparation behind it. That is strategy and diplomacy looks like. Not the knee jery- publicity fuelled reactions that Govt has exhibited in all past incidents and instances.

Karma is coming back to sind and punjab of Pakistan bcoz of what was done by their ancestors during partition. Hindus were brutally tortured and butchered by Muslims before leaving their land. Noone talks about the atrocities that took place during that period.
