This is one of Ndogo's big siblings. Yes, she has siblings. Ihawu and her older sister I am still developing.

His name means "small shield" or "cow-hide shield" in Zulu. But his name has more symbolism than you think.

Up with the facts:

- He is a strong lion with a more blond look due to being a mix between his mother and father.

Ndogo thinks him and Ukubona are dead as she ran away while the fight kept going, but they are still alive.

Personality wise? He is warmth personified.
Ihawu embodies kindness and compassion, always putting others before himself. His empathetic nature makes him a natural caretaker, especially towards Ndogo, his other sister, and Ukubona.
Despite his physical limitations, he exudes strength and confidence. His polite demeanor and intelligence make him approachable and respected by those around him.
Having been both a brother and father figure to Ndogo, he feels a deep sense of responsibility for her well-being. His anger towards those who mistreat her fuels his determination to protect her at all costs.
Ihawu's bond with Ndogo is central to the narrative. He served as her anchor, embodying the love and support she desperately needs. Their reunion could be a powerful moment in the story, filled with emotional resonance as they confront their shared past.
He is driven by the desire to shield her from harm, reflecting his name’s meaning—"to shield." His presence in her life provides hope and strength as she navigates her own struggles.

- He never felt so much anger when Ndogo was given the cold shoulder by almost everyone in the clan and protected her a lot.

-His name fits him perfectly, as he always Shielded his baby sister.

- He is in his late 20's in human years now.

- Ihawu is an ESFJ personality type.

- Ihawu's blindness is a result of his courageous act of shielding Ndogo from their abusive father during her escape. This act of bravery not only cost him his sight but also solidified his role as her protector.

- Now living as a rogue with Ukubona, he relies on her guidance while navigating the world. His acute sense of smell compensates for his lack of vision, allowing him to remain aware of his surroundings.

- As someone who was favored for being male yet disapproved for his empathetic nature, Ihawu challenges traditional notions of masculinity, showcasing that true strength lies in kindness.

AAAAND that is all I wrote for Ihawu. He was my "reverse" creation as I designed him first and then wrote him later. And I write my characters first and then design them later.

But yeah. He's a sweet big boy.
