The Data Analytics Cohort has already been so eye-opening! Here’s what we’ve done so far and what’s coming next 👇
Week 1: We kicked things off by shifting mindsets — showing that everything you do now is already data. I gave them a formula to recognize that their current work can translate directly into the role of a Data Analyst.
Week 2: We got practical! We stripped away the fluff around BI tools, talked through how to clean + validate data, and broke down exactly what matters in Excel and SQL:
✅ Excel → Focused on pivots, lookups, and charts that analysts actually use
✅ SQL → How to identify the right joins and avoid wasting time learning things you won’t need
💡 Even though Excel + SQL open the door to becoming an analyst, tomorrow’s session is where the magic happens.
Week 3 (Tomorrow!): We’ll dive into storytelling with data — how to translate numbers into insights that get you noticed. You’ll learn:
How to identify & create the right KPIs How to tell stories with your data that drive decisions Why storytelling is what gets you praised and promoted as an analyst
Week 4 (Final Week): This is where we silence the noise about the market being “oversaturated.” We’ll break down:
Job descriptions (what really matters) Salary insights by location & industry 💰 Resume writing that’s ATS-friendly & business-impact focused Interview strategies that make you memorable
🔥 These last 2 weeks are the most exciting — because now we’ll show you exactly how to pivot with the skills you already have.
📌 Don’t forget your homework — and I’ll see you tomorrow at 7 PM CST! Same Zoom link.
