Hello dear friends! I've got an exciting announcement for you all, and I'd love to get some feedback on it: I'm working on a Tumiun compendium!
Because it will still be at least a few more years before I finish my fantasy novel "Where Storms Are Born", I wanted to find another way of giving you all a heavy dose of Tumiun to put on your bookshelves in the meantime. Many of you have been asking about a possible artbook containing all of my illustrations and sketches, and I figured I could take it one step further by creating a collection of not just my art, but also all of the lore, short stories, poems, maps, concepts, songs, languages, scripts, and other worldbuilding snippets I've created over a decade of worldbuilding. It'll contain detailed lore about Tumiun's peoples, lands, histories, myths, legends, gods, creatures, and more.
Right now I'm imagining it as "The Cartographer's Tome of Tumiun — A Guide To The Walled World", compiling all of the Cartographer's stories from traveling the world of Tumiun, accompanied by his maps and my art. Most of the lore will be written from his perspective, though some snippets and short stories told from other perspectives will be mixed in. But before I spend months of my time putting this compendium together, I'd love to hear from you if this is even something you'd be interested in owning! If I were to launch a Kickstarter campaign for instance, would you back it? Don't vote 'yes', if you aren't actually interested, honesty helps out more than kindness :)
Or maybe you have a different idea of how I could turn this into something great, perhaps you'd prefer it if I make it more of a D&D setting guide, focusing more on the technical TTRPG aspect. Please let me know if you have any ideas on what you'd like to see in The Tome of Tumiun and how I could provide you with something you'd absolutely love to own!
To help inform your feedback: a paperback version will cost around $30, a hardcover around $40, a premium linen version with a dust jacket will be around $45, shipping will cost between $5 and $10.
As always I want to thank you all for your invaluable feedback and support!
