Hello gamers! I know it's been a little while, so I'm gonna start this with a brief summary of what I'm gonna talk about here: 1. Where I've been for the past month and a half. 2. Plans for DA Weekend!
1. In late November and early December, I took some time off to focus on getting ready for finals at school. After that, I went out to LA to visit my grandpa and extended family, and was there for a few weeks. I did try to record a shorts series for the time I would be away, but due to some problems with file corruption and the amount of time it took to make the series, I wasn't able to finish it. After getting back home, I started a new job, and I was also busy making sure I got to see my friends before they headed back to school for the end of Winter Break. On top of that, the LA fires have been raging, and one of them pretty much wiped out the town my grandpa lives in, a place I had been staying less than a week before the fires broke out. Thankfully, him and my brother are fine, but it was something that was stressing me out a lot, and I didn't want to stream or anything with all of that on my plate. I also just got a bit burnt out from Pokemon in general. Don't get me wrong, I love these games, and I love shiny hunting (most of the time), but when you spend so much time doing streaming and going over odds, it can be pretty draining. I did manage to get shiny Moltres and Pheromosa in my free time while I was gone, so I wasn't gone from shiny hunting, but I was just doing it on my own time, and not worrying about getting it all recorded or whatever, which was a nice change of pace, as shiny hunting is something I typically like to do during more dull moments of my day, as opposed to having to wait until I can set aside multiple hours to stream and do it. I also made a promise to myself when I made this channel that I didn't want to become a channel that only focuses on doing one thing, and I don't want to ONLY do Pokemon stuff. Maybe I'll stream the Donkey Kong Country Returns port or somrthing at somepoint? I've also been playing a ton of Fortnite and Marvel Rivals with friends, and I've been having a surprisingly great time with, although I'm not sure I'd ever make Fortnite content if it wasn't just for a joke or something.
2. The plan for DA Weekend! I happen to have Saturday (tomorrow) off from work, and given that it's DA Weekend, and that's when I started streaming again last time, why not do it again? I got shiny Moltres and Pheromosa over break, so I currently need two more legends in DAs before I am DONE with the raid cave: Zapdos and Kartana. I currently have a solo path for Zapdos, so I'm going to try and stream that to start. If we end up getting Zapdos, I'm calling on you guys to help me get Kartana, as it's a big milestone for me, and it's something I want to do with y'all.
