How Best to deal with near-death experiences?

@krystalmazzolawood

I'm a therapist and can say for a fact there's no one size fits all in understanding your spirituality and some therapists may actually harm the healing process here with their own biases. Therapy can be very helpful and it depends on finding the right open minded and supportive person and understanding a NDE can happen in community, books, in spiritual settings etc

Absolutely no way would I ever seek help via therapy and counselling. That's the last thing I'd ever do.

It depends on the person. For myself last year, when I had a cardiac arrest & flatlined for two minutes. I dealt with a lot of anxiety for about three months afterward & it took many months for my body to heal from the CPR & chest compressions that were done to revive me. I chose not to seek professional help. With the help of the Lord, my faith & my family got me through my experience. Again, it depends on what you feel you need to help you get through the after effects. ❤️

What a strange question! Surely, it's more a matter of how the NDE deals with you.

Near Deat Experiences seem to be geared towards the person. I think self understandibg would help and a strong faith system in the hereafter. Not sure counselors would be much good having had no direct experience.

In my humble opinion, I think both answers are helpful. I have had four NDEs and I have learned that it takes many years to fully understand what a person has gone through because there are different levels of integration. When a person has more than one NDE the integration process will overlap. If one seeks counseling it is important to find someone who does have an open mind and one who understands what an Nde is and it’s after affects as well as how it absolutely can and does change a person. PMH Atwater has written about the integration process and what happens after 3 years, 7 years, 10 years, etc. It can affect a person even 20 to 30 years later.

I don’t think someone can tell u how u should deal with something I have free will from my Father Jesus Christ so I can make my own decisions lead by the Holy Spirit not man !

How to respond is determined by your own experience. There is no best answer offered here for everyone. It depends on how you feel about it, how it's affecting your life.

I would think that a self analysis would be best sence no human can understand the depth of the experience had as it take a number of years to integrate just 1 peice of the experience or if therapy is chosen it should be from an nde experiencer

I almost got flattened from the waist up by a press machine and it stopped about 2 inches from my body. I didn't go home from work. I didn't stop my job. I was fine. I was wide eyed for about an hour afterwards but that's it. I learned a lot about myself in that moment and I learned that I just don't fear death. Go to therapy though cuz that's not a normal reaction haha

Why do you assume everyone needs a therapist

People's experiences can't be pigeonholed into oversimplified binary options. Just saying.
