Cheesy Hfj

My old privated video of "Spow" got copyright claimed a couple days ago, and I just recieved word that another smaller creator was also claimed for their use of the song. Turns out the claimant used a sample of Spow in their song, and now their music distributor is copyright claiming any traces of that song...even if the "infringement" is the original source material. While I'm gonna try and resolve this as best as I can, YouTube's copyright systems are notoriously arduous do deal with- so in the meantime, if you ever receive a copyright claim for using Spow (or any music from the ONE OST), THAT IS NOT ME! The soundtrack will always be free to use, and it's a bummer that copyright systems continue to be abused in this way

@UrainumMuncher

That is so dumb. This reminds me of when a video showing BFDIA 6 references got the rights to it on accident

@neum0nosilico

the fact that the actual "song", Keajaiban dalam Kesederhanaan (which means Miracles in Simplicity in Indonesian) is not even a proper song and it's just AI generated as well 😭

Oh god.. stuff like this has been affecting a bunch of creators, including some of my favorite artists (like femtanyl). It really sucks that it’s effecting you. I hope YouTube fixes it’s stupid moderation for once and acknowledge that the original song can’t be copyrighted by people who don’t even own it.

@Chase108

If I had a nickel for every time someone on YouTube got copyright claimed, I'd be able to fix YouTube's moderation.

@musselus

That’s such an idiotic move from the people who copy-claimed Spow, considering the fact that 100% of Spow (and almost all of the ONE OST in general) is original material made by Cheesy Hfj! Seriously! If these people who copy-claimed think that’s how copyright works, then that’s going to be a major reason for the end of their careers. For the love of the ONE OST, I hope you win justice on this, Isaac. Those people who thought it was fair to copy-claim your original music WILL pay for their sins.

It really does suck how sometimes the Copyright system can be abused in such a way. I truly hope you can resolve this and that something eventually gets done about this whole system. Hang in there!

It's not HFJover just yet, help spread the word so that youtube can take action against these haters.

@KokoroFrog

I had a similar thing happen with a private video of a Geometry Dash level I made, the song was completely copyright free but someone used it in the background of some rap song so it got claimed as that somehow Thankfully the claim disappeared randomly one day so hopefully this one will get resolved soon :/

This is incredibly stupid, but at least the song sampling it isn’t ass. Never fucking mind the song is AI generated

Imagine making a song four days ago and claiming that you own, the copyright of a song that was made years before

@RSD386

i think that’s like one of the advantages of the ā€œReleasesā€ section on youtube, so something like this doesn’t happen i think
