A few weeks ago, we learned that another eagle nest has been found on Arb property. This nest is near the golf course, in the direction of where we sometimes find eagles perched in the distance. It is not known if it is another pair of eagles, or if Mr. P and Lotus have built a second nest. It is being treated as a second pair of eagles until we can prove otherwise. There is no way for us to positively ID the eagles we see perched that far away, unless, of course, we actually see them take off and land at the nest. So, be aware that when we post that we found an eagle perched near the river, it may not be Mr. P or Lotus. Until we can prove anything, this other nest is being treated as a nest belonging to a different pair of eagles by the USFWS, by the Arb, and by AEF. It will be interesting to see what unfolds!
