American Eagle Foundation

A few weeks ago, we learned that another eagle nest has been found on Arb property. This nest is near the golf course, in the direction of where we sometimes find eagles perched in the distance. It is not known if it is another pair of eagles, or if Mr. P and Lotus have built a second nest. It is being treated as a second pair of eagles until we can prove otherwise. There is no way for us to positively ID the eagles we see perched that far away, unless, of course, we actually see them take off and land at the nest. So, be aware that when we post that we found an eagle perched near the river, it may not be Mr. P or Lotus. Until we can prove anything, this other nest is being treated as a nest belonging to a different pair of eagles by the USFWS, by the Arb, and by AEF.Β  It will be interesting to see what unfolds!

Thank you so much for your update and all the work you do. As a teenager I have learned so much about these beautiful, majestical birds. It makes me appreciate the beauty and the symbol that it stands for our country, FREEDOM. God bless πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡² America land of the brave and fr

These birds fly right over my house! I live just by the Arkansas river and I see them every year from November to March! Such a treat. And they're majestic, yes, but so cute!

Thank you for keeping us well informed. This is another exciting learning experience for me begun with the national television news about this nest in 2015 or 2016 I think.

I’m interested to find out whose nest it is! I live in northern Ontario and a bald eagle just flew over my driveway. They are such majestic creatures! We were going down a canal I. West nipissing (by boat) and I still remember an eagle soared over the boat through the canal about 20 feet on top of us and it was absolutely the best experience of my life!! Thank you for everything you do for these birds

Everytime I look I haven't seen them in a long time. I was afraid they went somewhere else. I hope not.
