I had one in the 1990s, with the smaller monochrome monitor. My first impression of it was the styling was more from the 1960s than 1981, especially the monitor with all those curves. Wouldn't have looked out of place in the Jetsons.

Yes they are remarcable. I think the beige aesthetics of 80s came from the brown/wood grain used in the 70s, even on computers , calculators tvs and monitors. Its was a classy office style, in the later 70s became less heavy in lighter shades.

Yeah, for me it's the monitor, the main body is ok but nothing special. But that monitor somehow looks retro futuristic, it gives the impression of being much more advance than the ugly crt monitors from the 90s or 00s.

I bet they still had the blueprints for a never-built prototype from the early 70s and reused them 😉
