The local social organization "Sejuti Health and Education Development Foundation" (CIDOF) is working on various projects to implement the rights of floating manta fishermen of Chinnamool community with the funding of European Union donor organization 'Oxfarm' in Galachipa of Patuakhali.
Last 18 September 2023 10 am A sharing meeting about the annual progress of the project was held in the meeting room of Rangabali Upazila Matsya Bhavan organized by CIDOF and in collaboration with Oxfam in Bangladesh. Progress on birth registration, national identity card, VGF card in simple, hassle-free and low-cost method for manta fishermen floating in the river is discussed. All those present unanimously accepted the proposal to register births easily. As the citizens of the country, they were assured by expressing their consensus to provide various cooperation. UP Member Mosa Runu Khan, Samaj Sevak Md Shah Alam Talukder, Bashir Mallik, Media Worker Shubo Shikder, Sohail Mia along with Jail representatives and guests present.
