Joshua Fluke

It's time to ask for help, and I wanted reach everyone here as well.

It's clear to me that my videos need thumbnails, to be converted to short form(reels/tiktok/yt), and just in general my channel could use some work in the cohesion/brand department.

I don't have the time to do it all myself anymore. So ideally I need someone who knows what they're doing and has some experience. But - don't let that discourage you, if you think you can add value, I'm open. Seriously - If you know how we can optimize and improve let me know.

In the immediate term I'm interested in:

Thumbnails
Short form content

I prefer to do the editing for my main videos.

So if you or someone you know might be interested, send me your portfolio/reels/pitch/mockups or whatever you think is appropriate.

Also include your price, and give me a run down of your workflow. I don't have time to hop on calls with everyone initially and discuss details and then get started. So - the more you can let me know upfront or show me, the better.

To start it will be a 1 by 1 basis, and if that works maybe we can do something more long term.

To streamline it would really help if you could send me maybe a mockup or something for one of my last 4 or 5 videos. They're basically blank right now.

I will NOT use any content without approval and all of that. Make sure it's watermarked. Whatever you need.

Feel free to pitch yourself however you'd like and get creative. Please don't hit me with the Chat GPT style pitch.

So! if you or anyone you know is interested feel free to reach out! Thanks everyone, I'm excited to see how this goes!

When Josh asks for your expected salary, tell him "We can talk about compensation after we're sure that this is a good fit. I expect to be paid by industry standards"

Hey @Joshua Fluke take a look on the Tube buddy new tool for shorts. The tool scans long form videos for parts that have increased retention and suggest timestamps to make shorts from. That might help you with that.

I'm not super good at this sort of thing, but a few pointers you can do until you find someone. 1. Use a social media management tool to cross post. It saves a lot of time. 2. Pick a few colors and stick with them. I'd say no more than 3, but whatever you feel gets the "summary" of your brand across. Once you solidify that, coming up with banners, templates, etc will be very easy. (High key, I hope you keep the blue. Blue is the color of truth and trustworthiness, and I think it fits your channel). 3. Your channel is practically made for short form! Grab them with a hot quote "Never let a company steal your work!" Explain a little bit, "Have you ever been asked to do a short project in an interview? Some companies are doing this to get free work from interviewees that they have no intention of hiring." Tell them what they can do to mitigate it or maybe actually come out on top. 4. Your thumbnails are a little busy, but I hope you keep your face in them. I think I read somewhere that thumbnails with faces get more clicks, so yay! Good luck, Josh (and his future editor)! Keep up the good work!

I think I could help out. I’ll get my portfolio together and send it your way! I have a background and graphic design and cooled around d a little bit with my own channel making thumbnails.

Well, I know that seeing a like and subscribe widget instead of verbally saying "like and subscribe" seems more comfortable, at least to me.

Hey Josh, I used to work for a company Reddy Ice. Me and 4 other employees would like to bring their terrible treatment of employees to light. You could help a lot of people. There are a lot of good guys and they’re being treated poorly. We are very interested in going public.

Nice! Idk why anyone is complaining, you clearly take the people in your community seriously. Otherwise you wouldn't even ask.

I'm so tempted to throw my name in the ring but I do mostly gaming stuff on my side. If interested you can look at my channel, I'm a small youtuber though. HOWEVER... Despite the fact I watch your videos religiously and do not recall missing one for years I often have to go to your channel to see the newest video. I do not know if I am going crazy or not but your videos have a habit of not being in my subscriptions feed....

@jaymanilla289

I've seen those (not sure what they are exactly) like a picture of the video but not the video and when you click on it it goes to the actual video. so it's another way to get to the same video. you could try that maybe? it's different to how your actual videos show on the YouTube feed.
