Danny, this apology is exactly how people should apologize in these situations. YOU are truly Greg. Thanks for being a stand up guy

if anyone is wondering, danny said the word femboy. identifying as a feminine man is not offensive. calling a trans woman a feminine man is highly offensive. context matters. and danny did not use it in an offensive way.

I don't understand, isn't Danny supposed to be doing this without makeup, crying, on the floor next to a sofa?

Trans person here, femboy is not derogatory unless used specifically against someone who identifies in a way that would make calling them a "boy" inaccurate. "Femboy" is just short for "feminine boy". A lot of men, including gay and trans men like myself, actually strongly identify with the word in a positive way. And yes, I have talked to non-binary people and trans women about this, a lot of them agree that so long as it's not being used against someone uncomfortable with it, it's okay. You were basically using it on yourself so it's fine. It's not like a slur where the context doesn't matter.

Appreciate this, but as a transfemme person myself I definitely don't see femboy as a derogatory word. Femboy to me is like a specific archetype that trans women sometimes play into for fun or sex appeal, but it's also imho just a word that describes a gay male archetype like twink. I know some trans women consider 'trap' to be a slur, but I definitely don't think femboy is one, because femboy describes a specific type of aesthetic that isn't limited to trans women, and usually is used as a self-identifier, not a slur.

2 Danny 2 Furious
hey guys
i've gotten a few dm's since posting yesterday's video letting me know that a word i said while reacting to a post on the subreddit is a derogatory word for transfemme people. If you're transfemme I apologize for saying that, and for my ignorance on the word in general. I understand that seeing a youtuber casually tossing around a word that could have been used in a derogatory way towards you was probably disappointing and hurtful. I've removed that section from the video so whenever YouTube processes that change, it will be gone.
on that same note, whenever i see a youtuber address something they've done that has hurt a group of people, i always see comments saying things to the effect of "why are they trying to CANCEL this guy!?" or "stop CENSORING everything" Let me just say that literally nobody was trying to cancel me. The dm's i got about this were so respectful and polite when they definitely didn't have to be. they were all pretty much just concerned gregs who wanted to make sure i knew what i had said. so if you were one of those that let me know, i appreciate you.
listen to trans people, please.
