Since the assistant principal was warned many times about this troubled student, that he has possession of a deadly weapon, didn’t properly check in on the school’s safety, and failed to tell anyone, especially the administration about this beforehand, then YES. Also, the school itself, administration, & certain county officials should also bear their responsibilities for failing to keep the students & community safe.

This assistant principal was told multiple times that this kid had a weapon in his backpack and did nothing about it. So yes, she is responsible. But I would take it farther and say the public schools administration should be held liable as well as they've been told too.

Retired teacher here…Administrators main mission is student safety, but leave teachers with handling unbelievably disturbing student behavior. Then parents blame the teacher. This child should have been taken out his home. Except for the teacher, everyone failed.

Her job is to handle the exact things the teacher came to her with. She did not do her job. She is accountable. Simple as that.

Absolutely. I was in the area when it happened and worked for the system shortly after this happened because of this incident. She should be held responsible for failing to perform her duties

Seems like the school should be sued rather than this person specifically.

I do think the school district should pay her millions so she can heal and move forward. She was working for them

The kid should be held accountable. If you're old enough to do the crime, you're old enough to do the time.

Yes! As well as the parents! Why would this child have a weapon in the first place!!?

She just seems like a lazy school administrator. Too busy playing Jenga on her computer to keep staff safe.

From the testimony today it sounded like to me she didn't want to be bothered.
