We will go through India's independence and Partition with Pakistan, and the subsequent Indo-Pakistani wars and conflict with the Sikh population. We then check out Southeast Asia, to see their decolonization and emergence of new nations, as capitalist and socialist blocs form there as well, including the Khmer Rouge. We then move onto the new Asian powerhouses, how postwar Japan managed to miraculously recover, and the Four Dragons (Taiwan, Singapore, South Korea, and Hong Kong).
