Who should Kanye partner with if he leaves Adidas?

@abendiaye3330

No one can work with Kanye. He’s a legend in his own mind.

@samiadnan_

He doesn't need to partner with any brand now, he just needs a good shoe manufacturer at this point. He already showed the world what he has to offer through Adidas x Yeezy.

Puma since it was adidas rivalry company

I feel like he'd be better off going with a brand that's less-prestige because they'll probably give him more creative control and better compensation in exchange for the sales he'd pull in. He's also always been keen on 'the kids' getting access to his designs and let's be honest, a company like New Balance is a helluva lot more likely to do a sub>£100 designer trainer without it being super limited than Nike or Adidas. Alternatively... Yeezy x Off-White would be interesting.

I’d say new balance is the best choice but I’d want Nike cuz I’d really like to have a pair of air Yeezys

Anybody but Nike unless it’s Converse. There are so many other brands that could use the boost and will give that power. New Balance, Reebok, Puma, hell if he really wants a challenge make Under Armor cool. Diadora, ASICS, Li Ning, Anta, or finally make his own brand. He could go anywhere do anything as long as he keeps bringing the music to back it

A total curveball could be really interesting too, but in any case it'd probably have to be either a bit of an underdog or just a brand ran by exceptionally cool people for him to get the kinda place he wants. It'd probably be ideal if he somehow manages to come in contact with a whole bunch of people who can set it up from scratch and form a dream-team at his command, but that's probably a big gamble.

@samrowen

He would ruin new balance

@smrn

Asics would be perfect since he loves everything Japanese, but Kiko Kostadinov is heading it pretty well in the design department already.

@Devoramelripio

All I can tell you right now is that Yohji Yamamoto, Pharrell and Jerry Lorenzo are about to be fighting for their LIVES Battle Royale style back at Adidas. 😂

The only way a partnership with Nike would work is if they essentially just gave a bag to establish a subsidiary entirely controlled by Kanye; essentially a revenue-share silent partnership where Nike provides the means of financing, production, marketing and distribution without any say in design or operations.

I don't wish working with Kanye on anyone.

Saucony or ASICS would be tight. I think Puma and New Balance might be a bit too old school and focused on classics for Kanye’s sneaker design/inspired silhouettes.

Kanye is proving how difficult he is to work with long term. I don’t think he’d be a good fit with NB. Reebok don’t have the funds to pay him. Nike seems like the best fit but with their past relationship idk how that works out

@1nicerboi759

Kanye seems too obnoxious to work with long term, so him going independent would probably be the best choice
