The system isn't broken; it's working exactly as it was designed and created by the super wealthy and the super rich. The super-wealthy use their resources to shape public discourse and influence perceptions. They control the media through ownership, lobbying, and funding think tanks to sway both the public and politicians. This control enables them to shape policy, rules, and taxes, allowing them to pay little or nothing. Politicians often receive rewards, donations, gifts — either campaign contributions or lucrative jobs after public service — that provide ongoing influence over government decisions. Billionaires, multi-millionaires, and large corporations own media outlets, including TV, print, radio, and, increasingly, social media, all in the interest of protecting their wealth. Then what do ‘they’ (Multi-millionaires, billionaires, and large corporations) do when they own the media? They control the narrative, shape discourse, and tell people how to think, what to do, and what to believe, ultimately controlling the power. Multi-millionaires, billionaires, and large corporations use their economic power to fund politicians and political parties, shaping policies and tax systems that benefit them—enabling them to pay less tax or avoid it altogether, because we know what they want is more for themselves and less for anyone else. They then use untaxed money to purchase assets, such as stocks, commodities like gold, water, and oil, and real estate—sometimes of companies they own—driving up prices and taking a greater share of wealth, leaving ordinary people with less. The billionaires and multi-millionaires don’t create wealth; they extract it. It’s time for us to unite against these greedy politicians who are under the thumb of the interests of large corporations, multimillionaires, and billionaires. To stand up against the large corporations, multi-millionaires, and billionaires by closing the loopholes and shaping tax policy to ensure the rich and super-wealthy can’t hide their assets and pay tax. A fairer taxation system where ordinary people pay less and the rich pay more. It’s time to tax the rich so countries don’t lose assets people need for a functioning society, so the ordinary person can buy assets, such as housing. We have a system of government that benefits the few (Multi-millionaires, billionaires, and large corporations) and not the many (ordinary people). In contrast, we have a taxation system that punishes the many (ordinary people) and benefits the few (Multi-millionaires, billionaires, and large corporations). The only defence and attack that ordinary people have against the super-wealthy is to tax them. Tax wealth, not work.😊 “When the rich rob the poor, it’s called business; when the poor fight back, it’s called violence” - Mark Twain
