The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

“As Jesus Christ becomes the focus of our lives, what we desire, and how we desire it, is forever altered. Conversion changes everything! It changes our nature ‘that we have no more disposition to do evil, but to do good continually’ [Mosiah 5:2]. It changes how we spend our time, our resources; what we read, watch, listen to, and share.” — Sister Amy A. Wright, general conference, Apr. 2025

How has coming closer to Jesus Christ helped you change for the better?

As Jesus Christ has become the central focus in my life, I’ve found that I include Him in my thoughts about everything I’m doing. It’s wonderful!

I believe in my ability to change habits that feel impossible to break or tendencies that I don’t like about myself but struggle to correct. With prayer, faith, and my best effort, Christ has made it possible for me to improve over and over again in miraculous ways. ❤

Sometimes it's the simplest words from Mosiah that brings me the most peace.

Coming closer to Jesus Christ has helped me to understand Him better. It has helped me to have more hope, more faith and more charity. Less fearful. Less judgmental. It has helped me to understand that I really am a Child of God and that everyone are my brothers and sisters.

Everything changed. I’m not interested in television no more. The world seems to don’t satisfy me anymore. My heart is full of love to share. My life is not the same. Completely surrender to him and see for yourself.❤❤❤🙏🙏

Yes, Joseph Smith, the founder of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, was a Freemason. He joined a Masonic Lodge in Nauvoo, Illinois, in March 1842, and attained the rank of master mason shortly after. His brother Hyrum and father Joseph Smith Sr. were also known to be Freemasons. Here's a more detailed look: Early Connection: Joseph Smith's family had ties to Freemasonry, with his father and brother being members. Masonic Lodge Nauvoo: Joseph Smith joined the Masonic Lodge in Nauvoo, Illinois, in March 1842. Masonic Rituals: Some early Latter-day Saint temple rituals, particularly the temple endowment ceremony, share similarities with Masonic ceremonies, leading some to explore the connections between the two.

I realize why I am doing the things I do and live with meaning having Him with me to give me a guide. He is someone that no one else can be.

In the last year and a half I have made the most profound changes in my relationship with Christ. It was a slow process. Pres. Nelson described it as giving my whole soul to Christ. Moroni 10:32 said "be perfected in Him and deny yourself of all unrighteousness..." little by little I got rid of my souvenirs of Hell" (CSL) and found myself Sanctified, filled with light, desire to never go back, and purify every corner of my soul.
