In the past, the South Korean Black Eagles Aerobatic Team’s transit stop in Kaohsiung Airport was an annual highlight for aviation enthusiasts, attracting countless spotters and extensive media coverage. I personally joined twice to film their stopovers.
However, Kaohsiung Airport’s role as a refueling stop is now being replaced by Okinawa, Japan. For their upcoming trip to the Dubai Airshow this month, the Black Eagles originally planned to refuel in Okinawa, bypassing Taiwan entirely — suggesting that Taiwan may no longer be part of their transit route.
Although the Okinawa refueling plan was recently canceled due to tensions between Japan and South Korea over the Dokdo/Takeshima territorial dispute, it still clearly shows the team’s intention to find alternative refueling locations outside Taiwan.
With this trend, it seems unlikely that the Black Eagles Aerobatic Team will appear in Taiwan again. This post is to commemorate their past visits — and to express hope that someday, we’ll see this incredible team perform in skies once more.

曾經南韓黑鷹飛行表演隊過境是高雄機場每年幾乎都至少一次的航迷盛會，吸引無數人前往高雄機場拍攝，也成為媒體熱烈報導的焦點。本人也曾兩次參與拍攝黑鷹過境中停的畫面。
然而如今，高雄機場作為黑鷹中繼加油站的地位將被日本沖繩取代。本月黑鷹飛行表演隊前往杜拜航展的航程原計畫於沖繩加油，繞過台灣，似乎也代表他們未來將不再選擇台灣作為補給地。
儘管近期因韓日獨島（竹島）爭議導致沖繩加油計畫取消，但仍可明顯看出黑鷹團隊尋找台灣以外替代加油地的傾向。
依此趨勢，黑鷹飛行表演隊恐怕將不再出現在台灣的天空。特此發文紀念，也希望有一天能再次見到這支技藝精湛的飛行表演隊！
