I screamed this ever since I was an early teenager. Got called all sorts of insults. Great to see this, better late than never. Worldwide we have to endure this stuff because the USA forces a lot of countries to abide and respect their copyright and trademarks.

I have a lot of reasons to hate dmca. I will leave it at I own what I bought. Pay the artist what they deserve, don't be greedy corporations.

The xbox comment hits home a bit. In my country, we poor fucks couldnt afford games in our youth. Now that we have disposable income, we bought games that we played years ago that are bootlegged. It is not the same price when it launched but we still want to support the devs and say thank you for making our dark days that much brighter. This doesnt apply to all gamers in my generation but almost all of my colleagues do that.

You should also check out the recent announcement from CFMoto. They now block features of their app (that used to be free) behind a subscription. There are a few youtube videos explaining the details.

The DMCA has ruined too much for too long. We started a non-profit four months ago with the goal of reforming it for good. I hope you'll come along for the ride. https://youtu.be/chPzslZKBhI
