"As long as Pakistan exists as a nation where the military has a country and not a country that has a military, state-sponsored terrorism will not go away. That is the hard reality.

What India has to plan for is the permanent extinction of this artificial state of play in existence since 1947, irrespective of the cost in terms of blood and treasure.

There has to be an Indian state whose natural boundaries are till the eastern bank of Indus and then the larger Pakhtunistan from its western bank, which is and was the natural political, strategic and geographical order of things through millennia.

This is the endgame that India must seriously prepare for to protect itself from this intrinsically hostile entity on our western borders. It will not happen tomorrow but definitely someday if India gets serious about dealing with this scourge once and for all." www.tribuneindia.com/news/comment/india-must-prepa…

Humbly disagree, the problem is the elephant in the room Islam..... It's the clear distinction between Momin and Kafir.

The choice is between a one time capital cost with a permanent solution or an indefinite recurring cost with associated nuisance.

Geographical boundary thik hai but that means a very large number of Muslims inside the boundary of India Remember the great Calcutta killings happened when we were a United country The problem is deeper than just the state of Pakistan which I agree is a big part of the problem

“As long as Pakistan exists as a nation.” Nothing else needs be said after this sentence. No qualifiers or condition. Full stop.

I think our first focus should be saving whatever we already have. Like wb and kashmir

@DetectiveConansp3aks

Sad thing is nothing of that sort will happen. Some strike will happen and pakistan will deny that and that will be the end of story. Evrything will be forgotten in India like it has been for 75 years.

@Arav89566

I don’t understand how this is a viable solution. Imagine having to deal with a such a huge Muslim population within Indian borders. Or are you suggesting forced reconversion of these Muslims which is also a pretty ridiculous thought.

@Neelinmact

Imagine if a Chinese nation says that with its boundary covering the entire Indian sub continent , perhaps then we can grow like human beings , so not only the problem of pak but also india will go away

@nrusimha11

Reasonable proposition. The only path to this is through the sky book, not force. There is simply no other way.

Agree... It should take it's course at leadership and policy level but the biggest barrier to this is our own pseudo secular people. Most of us Indians are schooled and learned in Western template and Western perspective of the world/science/religion... Need to get masses out of this intellectual slavery as China did... Education is one most important field where reforms are still pending

I am surprised that you don't know who is actually behind it. For an intellectual like you it should not be difficult to connect the dots.

No Govt is getting serious about de-radicalozation, what do you think happens in madrassas ??

@no_one4686

How do you destroy an idea? The idea of Jihad? To dismantle the fundamental Islamist is the only solution, and that cannot be done until Pakistan exists. It’s a rough country, with no global ambitions besides to spread Islam throughout the world whether it is by misinformation or by killing innocent people. Modi and team worked hard on decreasing the funds but where poverty prevails and education dies, even a few dollars is good enough reason to do irrational things. “We feelin' the weight of our ancestors.” From Hanumankind hits hard.

@AzemithYak

In almost all arab countries there is overwhelming support to eradica Israel (to support Palistine). But the military rulers (kings) are sensible enough to not cause mutual destruction by attempting it. The lesson is that an army controlled Muslim country is in comparatively sane hands. The same is true for a lot of Paksitanis willing to do jee haan dd for Kashmiris. They might not be in the majority (say only 20-30%) but a overwhelming majority of Pakstanis supports this dominant minority of war mongers. If they get democracy and the politicians start doing what the radical public wants, then we will see much worse situation.

I agree Pakistan has to be broken further but I don't agree India needs to take over any of those lands. Those people are very different from us as asim.munir rightly said.

@karthikkumar5822

Let's take Pakistan occupied Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan. Sharing indus has been a failure for both sides of Punjab farmers.

So end Pakistan as an economy-wise viable entity.
