Which investing platform is best? [THE FINAL šŸ†]

Please read the info below before voting to help avoid confusion 🤣

Help me decide who will win in our first annual awards!

You have already voted across two semi-finals and we now have our finalists! The two top-voted platforms from each semi-final has made it through.

I selected the initial 8 semi-finalists based on who was likely to have the best chance of winning and who was most deserving. Other platforms are out there and might be suitable for you, but they were not shortlisted because they probably would not have won the vote and YouTube only allows 4 options per poll.

If your preferred option isn't here, you can still let me know your top pick in the comments.

So...who is your favourite? Help decide the winner!

@craig2307

Vanguard would have been more popular if this poll was before their fees changed I’d imagine.

I feel results might be influenced by the "what platform do you use?" question. I've only used 1 of the four and can't really compare. So I think (hope) it's the best. I doubt I am alone.

I had to vote for the only one that doesn't ban me from opening an account based on my country of birth.

I use HL for Lifetime ISA, Vanguard for ISA and SIPP, and T212 and InvestEngine for GIAs. They're all good for different things. T212 and IE have the best interfaces and smartest functionalities, as well as no platform fees, but don't support funds. Vanguard's ISA is Frexible (like T212's). Lifetime ISA only available on HL of the four. Difficult choice.

It’s a tough question tho. Interface wise t212 is clearly the winner but I still keep most of my doh in fidelity because they’re a battle tested institution

Not sure how we can give the win of best platform for investing to a platform that currently doesn't have an option for pension savings. Literally the biggest tax wrapper savings tool and for most will be their largest storage of wealth. Granted it's on the road plan.

If trading212 is the best, then you guys have not used them long enough, or this is a bot-infested hellscape.

@pataleno

I use Vanguard mostly for SIPP and then trading 212 for ISA. Both work for me at the moment.

This poll suffers from sample bias, it can't be representative of the population. The only question it can answer is: What is the platform I told you to be the best in the last 20 odd videos I made?

@salt7598

None of the above, Lightyear is my favourite.

Have tried HL but the fees ultimately put me off. I previously used Vanguard for everything but now only have my SIPP there. My S&S ISA with T212. In terms of interface and user experience T212 is the best by far of those that I’ve tried. On vanguard: I have enough in my pension that I wouldn’t have been impacted by the recent fee changes, my reason for moving was the poor UX and that their own funds were effectively cheaper elsewhere because of the platform fee. I had hoped that the app would improve things but if anything made it worse - in that you can do some things in the app and other things have to be on the website.

I’m going to go against the grain and say that T212 is way too fancy and confusing as an interface. Probably just me šŸ˜… but if the aim is to get more people investing, I don’t think it’s beginner-friendly at all. The Vanguard app does what I need it to do, which is not much, but the lack of fund choice is v annoying. I’ve not used the others so don’t feel I can cast a meaningful vote

Saxo is my favourite as I only buy 0 day expiry call options

Trading 212 for ISA (as it allows individual company shares to be purchased), but Invest Engine for SIPP. If Trading 212 got its SIPP up and running then the SIPP vote may be more difficult.

I use T212 for ISA & GIA but AJ BELL for a SIPP. I like T212 for how up to date the values are, how easy it is to navigate through the menu to find all the relevant info I require . I probably would of used it it for my SIPP, if they did them, but seeing as they don’t I am quite happy with AJ BELL. They don’t publish out of hours trading values but I don’t really mind as my SIPP is definitely a set and forget pot

Interactive Investor. I moved there from H-L (too expensive) and Vanguard (no gilts or MM funds). Happy I did so. Was considering AJ Bell but settled on ii.
