'Here's hoping all the days ahead won't be as bitter as the ones left behind you'. 40+ years and this song never fails to both inspire and lift my mood!

1966 here. Older brothers got me into this in the 70s. Been my favorite band since. Was only able to see 1 concert in Lincoln, NE. But I have multiple albums, cassette tapes, and cds. My oldest brother says I will inherit a long time friend of his entire collection. They WILL be cherished!!!

First time I saw these guys was 1973 at the Felt Forum NYC. Last time Westbury Music Fair on Long Island. All told I saw them 16 times. Ray Davies is a genius and I must say for putting up with the brothers as long as he did, Mick Avory must be a saint. He's also a great and vastly underrated drummer.Long live the Kinks

Love this band.I used to call Konk Studios and enjoy talking to the friendly staff. I received an autographed picture of Ray, and the band. This was on the 80's so long distance was a little expensive, but worth it. π

No smiles, my guess, sometime in 1968. Still banned in the US. However, I did see them live four times. Sadly Peter was a distant memory when I did. Cheers all Kink fans.
