John St Julien Baba Wanyama

Always listen. You never know when God has other plans for your day.

Yesterday, I was driving into the local town to head to a certain location, I had the whole family with me as I did.

On the way, I could feel a pull, an internal sense, quite overwhelmingly so. I know that feeling, and I know it's part of the many places through which God talks in our lives.

I told Fritzi that I didn't know why, but we had to head to a local supermarket. As I entered the car park, I saw a young boy who looked like he was struggling.

We spoke a little, and he ran off to get his friends. The 4 boys were working nearby in a car garage/ scrap place. Their payment, only food. A sad practice that's often wrongly acceptable here is to have cheap labour in this way.

Thankfully, after I called our management from our home for such children, the boys were so happy to find themselves with food, education, and a place to sleep. I was smiling as they kept asking "its free? Is this free? Free food? Free school?" It was beautiful how innocent it was, the disbelief that something good can come without a price, or exchange of labour, was a testament in itself that these boys have missed out on childhood in some way shape or form.

So whilst we establish connections with family and work out what the future looks like for these boys, we also say welcome to the family to 4 wonderful souls. We will be here for you as long as you need it... and yes, it's free.🙂

Gods love, our love, is always free to those who need it 🙂

Thank you to everyone who makes our beautiful family a reality. We simply could not do what we are without you. In love and gratitude, everyone 🤍đŸĒģ
