The application process and what will help you shine or what will get you sunk on an application in particular. Everyone talks about the interview and your resume (tons of content on those), but hardly anyone talks about the application process. Another good topic to incorporate is how important different non-academy pathways to the majors are and how much weight each hold. For example, what is most important out of these; Single engine (non commercial time building) Single engine commercial Single engine (CFI/CFII) Single engine turbine Multi engine piston Multi engine turbine SIC Multi engine turbine PIC Multi engine turbine SIC (part 121) Multi engine turbine PIC (part 121) Of course this is subjective for different airlines, but it’s not often explored and getting some industry insights would help a lot of pilots understand where they need to bridge the gap between finishing their certs/ratings and making themselves the most eligible for the regionals and ultimately the majors.

All of the above. And can you do a video on what your thoughts are on Spirit airlines chances of being successful after bankruptcy? Maybe even talk about the difficulties newer pilots are going to have working for ULCCs in the future.

What to expect in a tech interview, footprint of indoc and training, best ways to prepare while timebuilding for the transition to airlines. Bidding as well.

Hey Joe, I am not a pilot just the world’s biggest “wanna be”! Anyway, I’ve got a son that will be exiting the air force and will have about 3000 hours by the time he’s done. About 2500 of those will be 2 engine jet time. I’m wondering what the path is to a major? Is it likely he will need to fly with a regional or is he direct to a major? Also, what is the “attitude” of the majors towards pilots with military background….good, bad, indifferent? Do fellow pilots care or does it hopefully not matter to other pilots?
