Definitely go for it! Much easier for us to listen to you while driving etc

Both. I do listen to YouTube at work or when walking. That is my primary media usage. I do like to see the people talking. Body language, and physical appearance is part of communication. It helps solidify the person in my mind. That said, YouTube is just one platform. Putting your content on multiple platforms brings in more people, and gives you flexibility if one gets disrupted. As well as your viewers/listeners. I'm sure it's more work, but other channels find it worth it.

Don't think of it as migrating your audience to other platforms. Over all you'll be growing your audience on different platforms.

I rarely attend to the video, but I still use YT for most of my interview listening. I have no podcast subscriptions or services. Plus YT keeps the option open for visual aids if a discussion warrants them down the road. In case someone wants to show off an artifact or diagram something out. More importantly, can we please get releases of the unabridged versions, Pints With Aquinas style? That’s what I crave.

I don't use Spotify, but I could see your content doing well over there.

I prefer podcasts. Not just because video of people sitting around and talking doesn’t interest me, but also because audio-only is better for my ancient phone’s battery.

Spotify now let's you add video with the podcast, so essentially your fans have a choice and can listen or watch without the ads breaking in. There is a big block of potential over at Spotify for you. Good luck!

Few YouTube videos need to be videos. Make a podcast with a trailer or stinger on YouTube, embed the link, go nuts

Rarely do your interviews require viewing to understand the full context. Be careful to describe in detail any visual aids that might be referred to (or disallow entirely).

I'd prefer a podcast because we'd get to see more of you (which is good for morale) and the interview can drag a little big more and touch more than one subject. BUT a podcast means more work for you and more time your audience needs to spend to watch a video. So... it might backfire. I'll go with Podcast, though 🤷♂

I'm from Oklahoma, and I'm Native American. I am so sick of Stitt at this point. Nothing he said holds any value. He claims to be Native American, but he ubdermines every chance he gets. I don't think he cares about Oklahoma either. Screw that guy.

I'm strongly considering turning my interviews into a Podcast. The videos will still be here on YouTube of course, but an audio-only version will be on Apple, Spotify, etc. What do you think about it?
