Q: Hey Nicki, I wanna commission you to make an English cover of my favorite anime song, can you do this?
A: I sure can, send me a DM and we can talk about the project!
Q: Hey Nicki, I really like this (random song that is not from an anime or a J-Rock/J-Pop song) and I wanna hear you sing it, can I commission you to sing it?
A: Send me a DM and we can see if it's something I can handle- I prefer to stick to anime/Japanese songs though.
Q: Nicki, please sing this song I really, really like! I have twenty dollars! A: While twenty dollars is a lot of money and always appreciated, it unfortunately won't cover the cost of a commission. Please be prepared to spend at least upwards of 300USD.
Q: Wow Nicki, that's so expensive, what the heck am I paying for?!
A: When you commission a cover, that means you're covering the cost of the instrumental, the mixing and mastering, and my labor costs. My labor costs can vary depending on if the song you want me to sing is already in English. It will increase if I need to write translyrics as well.
Q: Well, Nicki, can't you use the original instrumental? Or rip the vocals off the original song? I don't wanna pay so much.
A: No, all the instrumentals I sing over must be recreated because once your commission is completed, I will distribute the song on Spotify and other streaming platforms, this cannot be done with official instrumentals or ripped vocal tracks.
Q: Nicki, can you sing the song I want in Japanese? I don't want an English Cover.
A: I'm sorry, I'm an English cover artist, I don't feel comfy singing in Japanese so I'll have to decline.
Q: Nicki, I really like (some other cover artist's) lyrics, can you use theirs instead of writing your own?
A: No, I always write and sing my own lyrics, I will not be using anyone else's.
Q: Nicki, how can I pay you?
A: You can pay me with PayPal. I can either send you an invoice or you can send the funds directly. Make sure you send it under "Goods and Services".
Q: Nicki, can I upload your cover to my own channel? Can I use it in my videos and streams?
A: Yes you can, just make sure you credit me and link back to my YouTube.
Q: Nicki, what if I don't like the final product?
A: You will be a part of the process of the cover as it is being worked on, you'll hear the instrumental when it's completed, the WIP of the mix, and the final track... this should not be an issue as you'll be hearing the track every step of the way.
Q: Nicki, I realized I can't finish the project, can I have my money back?
A: If it's still early in the project and nothing has begun, I will give you a full refund, if we are halfway through, I will give you a partial refund, if we're close to completion, no refund will be given.
