Well, as long as their dad didn't contribute they're fine, otherwise they'll have to deal with multiple inheritance

@whydoubt

My mom was a COBOL programmer (for a life insurance company). Could have been my story if I'd gotten more proficient in it.

@ScottLovenberg

There's a callback joke in here somewhere. I had one punchline that wasn't great. I'm the spirit of open source, "patches always accepted!" Who can punch the "callback" joke the best? Requirements are that the term "callback" or language specific implementation that behaves like a callback must be in the actual punchline. Also, please star my GitHub repo, open PRs and we aren't taking any more requests to create a logo for the project. I'll review your PR with the same grace and nurturing tone as Linus or Theo from BSD. Finally, positively no JavaScript references; this is a comedy, not a tragedy.

Generational debt (tech debt)

@silotx

As long as the codebase is not a mess its fine, COBOL developers who are not already retired or ready to retire are a rare find so they are being paid well.
