J.J. McCullough

I passed a million subs today! Thanks so much everyone! What a crazy honor capping of a crazy decade of my life.

Without being too self-aggrandizing, I was curious, do you think my videos have influenced any other channels, or any other style of channel/video? Do you ever see a video/channel and be like, "oh he's clearly influenced by JJ?" If so, what would be the signs? It's an interesting thing for me to reflect on, as I look back at my ten years on this platform.

Congrats, J.J. You're one of the most sane and thoughtful cultural critics we have these days. I always appreciate your perspective and you've enlightened me many times on many, many different subjects. Keep doing your thing!

My favorite part is always your hand drawn illustrations! I was amazed when I learned you do them all yourself.

As a teacher in Buffalo, NY you have influenced me a lot over the years to the point where I’d consider you an older peer I look up to and center my love for learning and teaching in your style. Congrats!

Honestly, I've never seen a channel tackle the concepts you do and your presentation style remains unique. Congratulations on the milestone!

No, thank you, JJ. Your videos are inviting, informative, fair, fun, and made with passion. If more people made content like yours, this website would be a lot better of a place. Cheers mate!

Congrats JJ Mcculough. I’ve watched you since 2019 and you’ve always been one of my favorite channels. Thank you for providing us with such important cultural knowledge about the world and political information about the Great Nation of Canada. You have now won the award of 1 million subs. 🥇🥇🥇

Congratulations, JJ!!! I just watched your interview with Genetically Modified Skeptic today and it made me reflect on how similar we are in a lot of ways. I'm an intellectual, sober-minded person with a dry sense of humor (though I grew up to be a socialist rather than a conservative), and over the last 18 months your channel has become one of my all-time favorites. You even inspired my first trip to Canada (Toronto and Niagara Falls), which occurred almost exactly one year ago. Keep up the amazing work, really looking forward to seeing what you have in store for the next ten years.

Sorry I'm late to the party, but congratulations. I've been following your videos for years. You're a real cultural icon for Canada. Glad to have you around and I look forward to many more years of your excellent work and support of Canadian creators

You've influenced me to finally visit Canada this year :) It was a great journey! Congratulations J.J on reaching this milestone!

Congrats JJ! I have to say your style of editing has influenced a lot of channels to get more into using caricatures and cartoons, Lucas Bender and TLDR come to mind. You have also been a huge influence on me. You video on the History of Caricatures, The most Canadian movie ever, and Kim Campbell are still some of my favorite videos on Youtube.

I knew I made a good call subscribing to you early on! I’ve had a fascination with Canadian culture and its intertwining relationship with American culture for a while and becoming part of this engaging community, robust with deep cultural insight to a broader American culture that you created fulfills me with that sense of community I hoped for when I was younger! Congratulations JJ, you’ve earned every single subscriber to your truly special corner of the internet and here’s to 1 million more! 🍷🇺🇸

Congrats, old Man. And I can't think of ANYONE who you've influenced through repeated long-form conversations or anything like that.

Thanks JJ, I watch your videos with my mother who is much older. Helps bridge the gap and spark many fruitful conversations.

I've watched almost all of your videos as they come out during the last 3-4 years. One of my favorite youtubers for sure. You've shaped alot of my views of Canada, and as someone who recently moved ~25 minutes from the BC border (the Kootenay area), it's been even more interesting comparing and contrasting that with what I'm seeing of Canada first hand. Would love to see a video on Interior BC culture, or even just how Vancouver views the area I am adjacent to, and visa versa.

Congratulations JJ! Here's to another million 🎉 Your videos have inspired me to engage more with gens Z and alpha, especially young men, as I enter my 30s. Both to impart wisdom (hopefully) and to learn about their culture, hopes, worries, etc

While I didn't and don't support your political leaning here in Canada, you were the only YouTuber I knew trying to bring Canada to the platform. Despite being vastly outnumbered, here you are. Congratulations, sir! I hope your success influences and brings others the success they so desperately need
