I saw Jesus and tulip together, instantly thought, what is this heresy in my feed. Than I realized it was Faith On Fire channel, lol. Should be a good video, and keep the good work brother ! I keep reading calvinism is on the rise, and catholicism is dying from the studies. I pray people would read God's word to see the false teachings of men.

Please folks. Get rid of your preconceived bias and Study the Bible for yourself. Dont get your theology from divisive channels like this. Whoever runs this channel will have much to answer for.

I've never left a you tube comment before, but after having stumbled across your channel, watching a few of your vidios, and then seeing this post (thanks algorithm), I have to say some things that I feel are missing from all your comment sections I've seen: namely 4 points. 1. Reformed theology is an entire faith tradition that is deeply rooted in history, and developed in a specific context at the junction of the late middle and early modern ages. It very self consciously revived the doctrines taught in the primitive church by the orthodox fathers, systematizing them through the lens of sola scriptura. To rip out predestination (which Lutherans, some Anglicans, and many Roman Catholics also hold to) from that context and teach it as THE defining dogma of your position is, I would agree with you, problematic, and can lead to troubling social consequences. But I would say the answer is to recontextualize the doctrine, keep it where it belongs in the broader system. You seem like an intelligent guy who is willing to read up on the other side, so for a more holistic approach to Reformed theology, two authors I would recommend to start are John Murray and Sinclair Ferguson. 2. Confusing the doctrines of grace with philosophical determinism is understandable given our current climate. Especially when some "Calvinists" can come across that way. But that is an error. The Reformed believe in free will: WCF 9:1 "God hath endued the will of man with that natural liberty, that it is neither forced, nor, by any absolute necessity of nature, determined to good, or evil." The doctrine of regeneration is that original sin so cripples the will from birth, that God has to break in and free us. When He does that He also justifies us, assuring our salvation. After that, we can use our free will like we were made to before the fall, to cooperate with God's grace, walking the path of sanctification the rest of our lives. To use an analogy: original sin is like a deadly cancer we are all born with because of our genetics. As a baby, we may not show symptoms, but it's still there. As we grow older, it affects our organs. Any loving father would take his child to the doctor! Not tell him to just walk it off! And he'll do it if he has to drag him there kicking and screaming, because he loves him. Once we grow older and understand what's happening, of course we continue going to the doctor on our own for treatment, but we never would have been able to if we hadn't been taken there first. Please read up on the various philosophies of the human will, and you will see that this is far from philosophical determinism. 3. From what I've seen of your channel, you seem to be a Bible believing Christian with an admirable zeal for our Lord, so please take this as friendly advice and NOT an attack. It can be dangerous to build a theology without the historic witness of the church. Yes, sola scriptura all the way! But remember the Devil himself quotes scripture (Matthew 4), and God gives us the witness of many faithful brothers now and from the past so that "iron sharpens iron" (proverbs 27:17) against him. I'm NOT comparing you to these people at all, but as a caution, look at who 'just used the Bible'. Arius, the Münster anabaptists, William Miller, Charles Taze Russel, Herbert W. Armstrong. . . (Just off the top of my head!) 4. "Calvinism" is not heresy or a cult. I came out of the "Worldwide Church of God" so I know. Are there heretics or cult environments that incorporate "TULIP"? Yes, sadly. Does that make "TULIP" heretical? Not necessarily. I've known "it's in the Bible" to be used to justify cult leadership checking to see if you had yeast in your home at all during certain days of the year (according to the Hebrew calendar). Does that mean "it's in the Bible" is heretical? God forbid! As a devout Reformed Christian, I could be very offended at many things you say, but I want to offer you an olive branch. I don't know what you've seen to make you so against "Calvinism", but I pray for healing wherever needed. I pray that you will know the peace St. Paul knew when he wrote Philippians 1:15-18. You may not consider me a brother, but God knows his own, and I pray to see you in Heaven.

God is absolutely sovereign in Salvation. This channel is pushing false teaching. Put your humanistic presuppositions aside and let the Scriptures speak: 26 And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules. (Ezekiel 36:26-27, ESV) 40 I will make with them an everlasting covenant, that I will not turn away from doing good to them. And I will put the fear of me in their hearts, that they may not turn from me. 41 I will rejoice in doing them good, and I will plant them in this land in faithfulness, with all my heart and all my soul. (Jeremiah 32:40-41, ESV) It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life. (John 6:63, ESV) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, (1 Peter 1:3, ESV) 28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. 29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30 And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified. (Romans 8:28-30, ESV) So then it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy. (Romans 9:16, ESV) who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began, (2 Timothy 1:9, ESV) And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified. (Romans 8:30, ESV) 4 For we know, brothers loved by God, that he has chosen you, 5 because our gospel came to you not only in word, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction. You know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake. (1 Thessalonians 1:4-5, ESV)
