The first thing that Europe need to do to become capable is to replace unanimity by majority in decision making … we can go for vast majority 67% or even 80% but never 100% {or Unanimity) … the day this changes Europe will start moving much faster … democracy is about majority, not unanimity

Europe has burst it'd bubble and is lost. The Ukraine war seems to be the only plan they have to revitalise the old defunct continent. European states and UK were rich when they could exploit colonies. That is mostly gone. UK still manages to exploit the money laundering business, but nothing else. Like Germany it has lost the market for heavy machinery and cars. Both countries are ready to collapse. Europe has little resources and depends on others for energy..China has taken over the lead of technology..so what is left in Europe? That is no longer the United States and it will be years before the US could play that role again. Mario Draghi’s Warning: Europe Must Wake Up!
In a striking speech in Rimini, Mario Draghi delivered a blunt truth: 2025 has shattered Europe’s illusion that economic size equals global power.
👉 “This year will be remembered as the year in which this illusion evaporated,” said the former ECB President and Italian Prime Minister.
Draghi pointed out:
👉Europe was forced to accept U.S. tariffs – imposed by its closest ally.
👉Europe was pressured into higher military spending, in ways that don’t fully reflect European interests.
👉In global crises – from Iran to Gaza to Ukraine – Europe has been reduced to a spectator, despite giving the most aid and having the strongest stake in peace.
His verdict is clear: Europe is too weak, too divided, and too slow to shape global events.
For years, Draghi has warned Europe to act – to build real competitiveness, launch a Capital Markets Union, and invest boldly in innovation and growth.
Now, his message could not be more urgent:
👉 Either Europe transforms, or it remains powerless in a world of giants.
