Only one player in this list wasn't primarily a striker. And his name is Lionel Messi.

Wasn’t a striker but had a whole team and system designed to make messi the main character for every play. You can’t really use that excuse of not being a striker! Messi still is the best but don’t use dumb arguments.

Ronaldo was literally an inverted winger for Madrid MUCH longer than he played as a number 9. He only started playing as center forward from 2018 onwards. Messi was a Center Forward for Barca longer than Ronaldo played CF for Madrid. Even David Villa had to play as a winger to make room for Messi to play in the center. Zlatan was let go because Messi wanted to play in the center. Messi also played a False 9 which is more of a goalscoring role than inverted winger. So this is just BS or general data based on current positions.

Did you start watching football yesterday? Ronaldo was and still primarily features on the left wing. Of course players like that are too good to be confined to one position.
