The Kitchen & Jorn Show

Hey y'all! So, we deleted the video we just uploaded and we are re-uploading it with corrections shortly. To explain: a helpful commenter pointed that that one of the stock images used by our editor was AI generated, which we (and our editor!) were all obviously surprised by! But then when we went back and investigated the images from the stock image site, it turned out to be true. This was obviously an accident, but we wanted to correct it, so the video without the AI images will be coming back shortly! Thanks guys, and we apologize, the updated video will be here soon!

@kitchenandjorn

For transparency, I don't remember who the commenter was, but I def defended our editor and us before actually checking whether that was true. It was knee-jerk, I genuinely hate AI, and had no idea that the stock directory we use includes AI results. But to that commenter: thank you for pointing it out. You're why we fixed the mistake so quickly. I'm sorry! - Jen

@lan-guill

It's so hard to find stock images that aren't ai at this point, especially when they're charging the same price and are often unlabeled

Thank you for doing the right thing and not supporting AI that often steals the work of creatives! It's becoming harder and harder to identify them unfortunately

As someone who works in media, not even the 'exclude AI' filters work on stock image sites any more. It's really hard to be 100% sure that things are not generated, and I appreciate you being open and honest about a genuine mistake!! And hopefully your editor doesn't feel too bad - this can happen to anyone.

I feel like they should have a filter that removes AI photos so that way you don’t have to analyze every stock photo. Although that’s assuming you use one of those stock photo websites. Thank you for listening and correcting your mistake❤

I was mid watch and it just stopped! Lol it did say you had taken it off. The new one hadn’t uploaded just yet so I’m back today ☺️ watching the updated video now. It’s hard to transition to making sure AI isn’t being used when it wasn’t something you had to think about before. Those in the creative space making sure other creatives aren’t being stolen from is what we all love to see!!
