Cyreides

I had written up an extremely long winded and probably overly dramatic message to explain and justify my feelings and thoughts about what I'm about to say regarding Zera's development (in advance, it's not cancelled but keep reading), so I'll try to keep it brief instead:

I know people were expecting me to jump back into things full force now that I'm done with a big project I had going, and to get the proper demo ready, and then Steam early access... but that's just not happening.

Zera will eventually get done as I love the project and the character, but it is no longer top priority, updates are going to be infrequent, and it will only get worked on when I feel like it from now on. I need and want to do other things besides just this, for both my sanity and creativity's sake.

Sorry if this is disappointing but it's how it has to be for its development to continue at all.

All good Cyreides, just do what you need to do. Take care of your own wellbeing before your project and make sure you are having fun working on it. Besides, absence makes the heart grow fonder. We're all with you on this.

@AquaHeartGirl

As someone with lots of WIPs that I care deeply about but that can get exhausting, I totally understand. I’m excited for Zera but not at the cost of anyone’s health/sanity/etc. Take care of yourself!

You made the right choice putting temporarily on hold Zera: Myths Awaken. At least, You're trying to not do the same mistakes that most of the Allodoxaphobic AAA game developers do, nowadays. Take good care of yourself, okay? P.S: Allodoxaphobia means "fear of criticism/inability to take criticism".

That a shame but I would like to see more stuff from you, especially after spectral mall, currently my favourite.

If Zera becomes a game 10 years from now, then my by then 37 y.o. ass is still buying the heck out of it. Look at Owlboy, its development took forever because the creator had a ton of fun making it. Do the same thing! Have fun, take your time. Be creative. Your best work on Myths Awaken came when you weren't pressured to do it.

Sugestion: armored ennemys, but the armor is hearing protection, to counter Zera's screech? ... I would also love to see swimming come back, and maybe some more acrobat equipment like trapise poles.

Can you at least make the latest version out? The version downloadable online is outdated.

Fun fact; You can link this to your steam account for controller remaping. ... I Set up R2 as flip, and L2 as charge, because I've been playing A Hat in Time.
