@ThatBoiD281

I think the main reason for the low numbers was the price. Most people dont want to pay more for less

In a few years, this will be a collectors item worth more than its original retail price

Apple forgot that people don't leave in 2015 era where people used the phone mostly for calling and chatting. So for most heavy users this phone is not worth. Instead they couldve discontinued the non pro line and launched the air with a bigger battery and two cameras and 6.5inch screen at 800$ and wouldve been a hit.

Good that the consumers are sending a msg thru their wallets. Price it at around 600 and fix the low sales

I'm gonna buy it next month, test it and see if it's suitable for me. If not It goes back to the store where a basic 17 512gb in black color is waiting for me.

Plus varients were way better than this Air. If they had compromised with camera bump and higher price they would've succeeded. If you are making slim phone with lower power then make it real slim and price worthy not the opposite.

People acting like this was an L for apple. The air was never expected to outsell the 17 or the 17 pro and that's why they did release it. It's a way of mass testing the production of a new form factor without much of a financial risk. The price makes the 17 look like a v good deal and pushes more ppl to that whilst the pro can just be for pros. In America especially, the way carriers sell phone plans though, people end up getting the pro so this whole line up has ended up being a success. It reminds me of the when they first released the MacBook 11. It was worse than the 13 air on every metric but they could see how it was received because sales of their MacBooks were still strong. Plus phones will be getting thinner. The majority won't be aware that the thinner phones in the future will happen due to launching a phone like this now. I reckon it would be a collector's item in a decade or 2. Someone recently sold the first iPhone unsealed for 5 figures.
