Once upon a time this was in my top 3 favorite channels on YouTube, and in spite of never playing or wanting to play Destiny, I STILL watch the reviews. It's honestly just good to know that an entertainer I religiously followed is still letting himself create new content. Time is just a concept. Every video is like a happy hello from an old friend.

Gotta say, after watching your review it really reminded me how mad I got at Lightfall. I feel like I just got over hating it again since the week 5 season cutscenes also brought it up.

I was literally so excited for a lightfall review after it launched and it couldn’t have come at a more perfect time considering community morale is somehow at its SECOND “all time low” in the last year. Great video!

I've never been much of a Destiny player. I got the game with Forsaken when it was free on Epic or Blizzard or whatever and eventually transfered it to Steam at some point. I played less than 10 hours total over the course of a month or so, just because I enjoyed the gunplay quite a lot and could watch a video on my other monitor while I'm going at it. But I didn't get that into it because I'd stop playing any time my friends are online, since none of them play and we just do other stuff. All of this was a couple years back and I haven't touched the game in a long time. All of this to say that I was so out of touch from Destiny that when I saw ads and teasers for Lightfall my first response was "What is this, fucking Fortnite?" The tonal shift from what I was familiar with in the past to this campy neon synthwave vibe was jarring I it's stupidity. I love that type of shit in the right context (I think it works well for a game like Fortnite that is supposed to be a mishmash of constantly rotating and changing aesthetics to keep the kids engaged.) In a game with a generally serious tone, suddenly pivoting your supposedly serious plot to include that shit is bizarre, pointless and counterproductive. It's just silly and confusing to someone who doesn't follow the lore at all. I can only imagine it's even more of a shock for someone who does.

Love watching your videos man, even if it means I have to wait a year in between for your take on a game I stopped playing years ago

I loved your review man. I swear to God, every time you upload it's like a huge event for me. I used to be caught in the Destiny trap, too, but I'm glad you can suffer in my stead.
