Wouldn't surprise me if this becomes a mainstay in Russian civil aviation, as nobody else is going to want to lease aircraft to Russia after having been burned.

The more I see these articles the more I fancy China. You are literally describing what any government should do to protect the nations interest. If my government can subsidise, protect or even copy in other to protect the nations interest am all for it. After all the so called west made their technology by stealing my continents resources[Africa]. Not all project are meant to make profits from the start, that is why China has brought the west to their knees with rare earths. I wish African could do the same. This articles just shows there is no tangible reason for those who spue chinese hate propaganda, I'm delighted.

They got to start somewhere don't they? You can't just make jets on the same quality as the west on day 1 or even in 20 years from now. I'm very much against the CCP but it would be impossible for other countries to compete with the west on a lot of products if they didn't try at the very least. R&D and machinery to produce good quality parts requires billions and billions of dollars which they can't just get their hands on so they have to start at a backfoot. Should China never try because the west already did it better before?

If they stole designs from Boeing they’re in for a rude awakening…

C919 is strategically important. It’s a matter of time before China surpasses the USA and Europe in performance and cost. The project also have the benefit of providing high paying jobs for the college graduates produced by the Chinese universities.

Every developing country goes through a predictable cycle when they produce new products. First their quality is poor. And people laugh and ridicule it. Then they improve. People no longer laugh. When those products become world class. The ones who laugh are also the customers.

Another Members' Only video is LIVE ✅: C919 Disaster: China’s Fake Boeing Rival Revealed
China’s C919 is being hailed as a symbol of national pride — but behind the glossy propaganda lies a harsh truth. This so-called “homegrown jet” is stuffed with foreign parts, propped up by political orders, and decades behind Boeing and Airbus in technology. In this video, I expose how the C919 isn’t a commercial breakthrough at all — it’s a state-funded vanity project, built on stolen IP and sold through propaganda, not free markets. If you think this jet represents China’s rise, think again.
